The model uses natural dimensions made of natural materials. The model is made of smooth skin and muscle covering, in which the bones of the knee joint are embedded. The anterior outer covering has four entrances to the inner area of the joint, two lateral, one central and one medial opening. In addition, the arthroscopic model has an outer side that is recessed backward and an inner channel. Due to the use of screws and plug-in joints, ligaments can be easily replaced. After removing the skin and muscle covering, the bone with ligaments can be used as a functional knee joint model. The skin and muscle coverings are fixed in place by four synthetic screws.
